A question too frequently asked : "What's in your fridge?"

Gross Fridge Stories
"....One day I was at my friends house and we decided to have ice cream. I went over to her freezer and was digging around in it, looking for the ice cream, when I came across a ziplock freezer bag filled with little pink dead baby mice!!! It was soo gross! When I asked her about it, she told me that they were for her brothers snake...but still!...."
"....I was at my grandmother's house at Thanksgiving in 1998. We were having salad among other things. My grandmother pulled out some ranch dressing and gave everybody some. The house started smelling awful. Everybody took a bite of their salad and just about puked. My dad got the salad dressing bottle out of the trash and looked at it. The expiration date was 1968. My grandmother tasted hers and said, "It's not old, it just tastes different, they made it different back then." Ever since then I look at the expiration dates before I eat ANYTHING at her house!...."
"....One day I was at my friend's house, we were outside all day, it was really hot out and when we got in we was really thirsty. She told me to go get her and me some ice cream out of the freezer. Well I was looking around and took a box out that looked like ice cream. I opened the box and to my surprise it was her dead pet kitten! I screamed and put the box in the freezer. When I got back in the room she asked, "Where's the ice cream?" Then she said, "I forgot to tell you; My kitten died and we are going to go have it stuffed." Things were never the same after that. I would never look in her freezer..."
"....One day during the summer of 98 my friends and I decided to have a picnic. I decided to have my favorite, a salami and pickles sub. I was very tired so I told my mom to make it. About five minutes later I got up to see a sub on the counter I picked it up and met my friend out side. After a while I noticed there were no pickles in it. I went in the house and asked my mom why she hadn't put pickles in it. She stared at me with a funny look and said, "What sub? I haven't made it yet." I looked in the sub and saw that wasn't salami in there, it was a big clump of mold! It turns out she had just taken the bad bread out of the refrigerator! (eww!)...."
"....Here's a fridge story...well it has to do with food. My friend went to this restaurant one time and he wasn't hungry at all so he had them wrap up his burger in one of those Styrofoam containers. Well, he brought it back to his dorm and threw it somewhere in the mess that his room was. Right before spring break, he was cleaning up his room and discovered the Styrofoam package. He bravely opened it up to find that the burger had grown so much mold, it had taken the shape the of the Styrofoam package..."

Chinese pirates clone NEC
Not just the technology the entire company
By Nick Farrell: Friday 28 April 2006, 07:11
CHINESE IT pirates seem to be getting a bit ambitious. The latest trick is not just to copy a company's technology, but to steal the entire operation.
Apparently in China one bunch cloned the technology mega-outfit NEC. It set up pirated NEC factories and warehouses and offices and produced knock off NEC pirated goods.
NEC wondered what was happening to its Chinese operations and hired detectives to find out. Two years later the real NEC, along with Inspector Knacker of the Beijing yard, swooped on the factories and shut them down.
Evidence seized in raids on 18 factories and warehouses in China and Taiwan over the past year showed that the counterfeiters had set up what amounted to a parallel NEC brand. They had even networked partnerships with more than 50 electronics factories in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Apple patent embeds thousands of cameras among LCD pixels
Posted Apr 26th 2006 12:00PM by Evan Blass
Oh Barry Fox, does a week ever go by when you don't find a great patent or two? Today the intrepid Mr. Fox manages to dig up an application by consumer-darling Apple for an LCD display embedded with thousands of microscopic image sensors that would allow users to video-conference while looking straight into the "camera." Data accumulated by the individual sensors would be stitched into actual images using special software, which will probably be bundled into future versions of iLife. Since the patent specifies almost as many sensors per screen as there are pixels, some of those sensors could have different focal lengths, with a defacto zoom lens created by switching between them. Apple goes on to suggest portable uses for the technology, such as employing the displays in cellphones and PDAs, so you can add another item to the list of features we'll be expecting from the iPhone and Newton 2.0 when they finally hit stores.

Spend a Penny

These are a few pictures of people at Shop Sreet Galway spending their pennies during Boxing Day 2005.

Spend a penny
Meaning = Go to the toilet.
Origin = In England public toilets used to have coin (penny) operated locks. Hence the graffiti 'Here I sit broken hearted, Paid a penny and only farted'.

Sumer gambar2 nih guna teknik cut n paste dengan Photoshop.. First of all i used the extract filter to 'cut' out a part of a picture.. Pastu alihkan 'cut-out' layer tuh on top of another picture to superimpose.. Then resize or rotate the 'cut' to fit.. Then add a shadow layer for the 'cut' if needed.. lastly i used the photo filter to balance the tones between the 'cut' and the other picture beneath it.. flatten all layers then save..

Has anybody heard of any photography jokes? Well here's one..
| Quote: |
A photographer for a national magazine was assigned to take pictures of a great forest fire. He was advised that a small plane would be waiting to fly him over the fire.
The photographer arrived at the airstrip just an hour before sundown. Sure enough, a small Cessna airplane was waiting. He jumped in with his equipment and shouted, "Let's go!" The tense man sitting in the pilot's seat swung the plane into the wind and soon they were in the air, though flying erratically.
"Fly over the north side of the fire, " said the photographer, "and make several low-level passes."
"Why?" asked the nervous pilot.
"Because I'm going to take pictures!" yelled the photographer. "I'm a photographer, and photographers take pictures!"
The pilot replied, "You mean you're not the flight instructor?"

A Brief Journey from Home.
|
|
These are some of the pictures i've taken during our trip to Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland. Light showers most of the time, unfortunately. Ateh donned my raincoat whilst i took out the umbrella; returned it back to the car minutes later after realising it wasn't practical to take pictures with. (..duh!)
We saw the long path ahead of us so Ateh started doing the warm ups.
Phalinn went ahead first whilst i catched up behind him after returning the umbrella to the car.
After quite a tiring walk, Phalinn was happy he found a chair.
Ateh on the other hand was still standing strong; despite having her hand and both coat pockets filled with my lenses.
Phalinn could tell that Aude was excited.
In fact we all got excited as we admired these strange rocks.
And not to mention that magnificent scenery.
We were having a great time over here, while Marisa and Aude over there were too.

The Road to Oblivion.
|
|
Must say it was a pretty fun 2 weeks we had in Letterkenny accompanied by Phalinn, Abbas, Aude & Marisa. While having to do their paediatric and obgyn attachments, me and my wife managed to steal time and drove them to Bundoran, Giant's Causeway & Londonderry; all of which were some 80 plus kilometers from my place. We took loads of pictures there so i will be posting some of them in the next entries. For this one are two pictures of the road leading down to the hospital from my place, a picture of our Phalinn and Abbas in the local McD, and one with myself and the rest in our kitchen.
The hospital is the greyish building on the left hand side in the background.
Walking back home along this road up the hill is a killer. Ask Phalinn.
These two are taken already.
Lining up for Marisa's Special Tom Yam. Yami.
